Power and Performance of the 2023 Nissan Altima

The 2023 Nissan Altima offers two four-cylinder powertrains, a 2.0-liter Variable Compression (VC) Turbo, or an advanced 2.5-liter DOHC engine.

The VC-Turbo is available only on the Altima SR front-wheel drive model. It makes 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The standard engine across the entire lineup is the advanced 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder direct injection engine. It delivers 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque to front-wheel-drive models and 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque to all-wheel-drive models.

All 2023 Nissan Altima models use the Xtronic transmission. Paddle shifters are exclusive to the Altima SR trim level.
